Late Night Thursdays at The Ian Potter Centre, Melbourne

Thursday nights in Melbourne have been going well at The Ian Potter Center with a combination of the exhibitions being opened and special deals being offered by cafes and restaurants in Melbourne's Federation Square.

A range of activities in the Atrium and BMW Edge, such as the Regional Wine-Showcase, concerts and lectures will also be on offer on Thursday nights.

Late night openings have become a popular attraction at galleries around the world, from New York’s Museum of Modern Art and London’s Tate to Tokyo’s Museum of Contemporary Art.

The concept also proved extremely popular in Melbourne with the National Gallery of Victoria’s late night openings for the Melbourne Winter Masterpieces blockbusters such as Picasso: Love & War.

Ms Kosky said Federation Square had become a popular meeting place that attracts more than 8 million people a year.

Late Night Thursdays will provide people, particularly city workers, with the opportunity to access the fantastic art and cultural opportunities offered by each of the venues at Fed Square,

 
Wine tasting information at 'The Ian Potter Center', Melbourne

Victoria can proudly boast over 350 wineries and is Australias most diverse and compact wine state, all within an hours drive of Melbourne.

Every month a different Car Club is represented. Melbournes Federation Square is the perfect meeting place for such an event.
